Celeberity Photoshop face swapping

In class we are continuing to work with photoshop. We got an assignment that was assigned to us. We had to pick a celebrity of a picture that we like. The celebrity that I chose was Carrie Underwood .We also had to take a picture of ourselves. We uploaded the pictures to photoshop. The picture of us we were able to touch up our picture and add make up. We then cropped out our hair and placed our face on the face of the celebrity. After we finished the editing of the photo we were asked to answer questions about our transformation. The first question was what we feel about the overall transformation of our picture. I think that the transformation of my picture was good, but it could have been better. It looks fairly natural, but there are some spots where I think it looks like the skin is not matching on the face.

My perspective of pictures in magizines has changed drastically. Before I never thought anything of people using photoshop and changing the way someone looks. I knew that yes they did edit the pictures, but I did not know that they did it so much that it made the person look like a completely different person than before. It's crazy how much people really think of today’s view of the perfect body image. Everyone always thinks that the people shown in magazines really look like that in real life. In reality that is not true. The people in these magazines have all been edited in photoshop to make them look skinny or prettier. Really most of these people are not as pretty as they look or as skinny.

Something’s I did really well on were that I think I changed the eye color and made it look real or look like that, that’s the color of my eyes in real life. I also think I did really well on putting the mascara on my eyes. Considering how I did it and what tools I had to work with. I think it looks pretty natural. I actually had to draw them on. It was pretty hard to get them all even and to look the same on both sides. I think that I could improve on the color of the skin transformation from mine to Carrie Underwood’s. I think that in some spots you can tell that my face was place over top hers because if you look at it closely you can see where parts are darker than others. I also think that I could improve on the redness of my face. In some spots by the nose there is a little bit of redness.

Photoshop! It’s a great program but man it can be hard thing to learn how to use. Over the past couple weeks in computer class we have been learning how to use Photoshop. We have also been learning the elements of photography. An assignment we had to do was to make a collogue that depicted A Day in the life of a Mercy student. We had to use Photoshop and use at least 5 of the Photoshop tools to arrange, crop and change our pictures. The pictures could be of anything that has to do with the life of a Mercy girl.
In my collogue I have all sorts of different pictures like my car, trip to New York City, our junior ring ceremony banner and all other sorts of pictures that have to do with my life and Mercy. To make this collogue look better I used several different tools. One of the tools I used was the crop tool. I used the crop tool on the library, computer class, English class, my car, class banner, locker, cross, mercy crest, and my prom picture. The reason why I chose to use the crop tool on all these was because I thought that some of the image needed to be cut out and by cutting part of the image out I thought that it would make my collogue fit more together. I also changed the color in the library, computer, English, car, banner, locker, creed, and the prom picture. By changing the color of the pictures it allowed the picture to have a little more quality and to look better. Another tool that I used was the red eye tool. I used it on the prom picture. Before the girl to the far left had red eyes and by using the tool her red eyes were eliminated. I used the retouching tool on my face in the prom picture also.
We also had to apply the elements that we learned in class to the pictures that we took. Some of the elements that I used in my collogue were balance in the cross picture. I made sure that when I took the picture that I balanced out the space around it. I also balanced out the space in the picture of the car. At first I did not think Photoshop was going the be fun but now that I have learned how to use it, it is a wonderful program to use and is very helpful for touching up pictures.
